About

I’m a photographer living in Auckland. I grew up in New Zealand, but spent time in the Philippines, Thailand, and Canada. I’ve always enjoyed photography but it has become my passion only over the last few years.

As creatures, we have an innate and insatiable desire to ‘see’ and ‘feel’. Photography as an art form has the power to change both individual and society through light, shape, and form. An image can cause a range of emotion. From joy to peace, anger, even disgust, good photography invites the viewer to pause, allow the emotions to build, and dive-in to all that the photograph speaks to you.

Photography is a way to find solitude, to explore my own creativity, and be immersed in the experience of making images. Placing my hands on a finished print brings a level of satisfaction found in no other art form. I strive to achieve the balance of technical excellence and creative expression, and I want my images to satisfy that ‘seeing’ and ‘feeling’ desire in the viewer.

I am energetic and experimental in my shooting style - succeeding and failing but always pursuing excellence. I seek photographs that demonstrate the themes of unseen places and details, the wildness of nature, and the fragility of human life.
